Aris STERODIMAS

Dr Aris Sterodimas obtained the title of Consultant Plastic Surgeon after serving in the world renowned center of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Ivo Pitanguy Institute, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

He obtained his Master degree in the field of Surgical Technology from Imperial College of London, United Kingdom. From 2005, he has been actively involved in research of Stem Cells application in the field of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and Regenerative Medicine. His PhD thesis is on Adipose Tissue Engineering in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

He is currently the Head of the Plastic Surgery Department of IASO General Hospital, in Athens, Greece. In Brazil, he is the CEO of Stem Surgery SA involved in tissue engineering research and clinical application projects, around the globe. He is the actual President of PIA and active member of 11 International Medical Associations.

He has published 50 peer reviewed articles and has contributed in the writing of 15 book chapters. Dr. Sterodimas lectures worldwide and is the Editor of the book entitled ‘Adipose Stem Cells & Regenerative Medicine’ published by Springer – Verlag in 2011.
