Anatomy of a successful aesthetic medical clinic

Objectives: The objectives of the presentation is to share my experience in running a successful medical clinic what are the mistakes I made and what I had learn from them. I had developed the anatomy of steps-by-steps approach what they have to consider in order to change their focus on patient oriented service. What they need to consider to create the right brand and position well to stand out from the crowd, how they can tell their stories in order to connect with their patients and how to convert them into the real patient. I will also show them how they can improve the patient's retention rate.

Introduction: Running a medical clinic has been challenging and with so many competitors out there, how can one stand out from the crowd. Also with so many information that you can find in social media and internet, how can your stories be heard from the audience and how as a clinic owner create a story that can reach out to their target audience they want. Once they are able to get their audience how can they create an unforgettable experience and improve their conversion rate. How can they improve their retention rate. How to improve their patient's experience from start to finish to aftercare.

Materials / method: My approached on 4 steps roadmap towards runnning a successful medical clinic.

Results: Medical practitioner should shift their focus into patient't oriented service and they should be able to think out of the box in order to identify the hero and create a hero journey in order to be connected to the patients and eventually increase the revenue.

Conclusion: In conclusion, they should take the new approach and thinking outside the box to build a successful team. They will be able to realise that the clinic success is team work and not the medical doctor. They should not try to be the hero in the patient's story and aesthetic medical doctor should not let fame and status become their biggest enemy. Be grateful and humble and build a strong team is the key to success.

The pearls of wisdom in skin health and chemical exfoliation

Objectives: The objective of this course is to learn about marketing your practice to current existing patients, developing a relationship with vendors who will financially and educationally support your patient events, giving a strong means of educating your current existing patients on non-surgical procedures or other procedures they are not aware you offer keeping them from going elsewhere.

Introduction: This course will give the attendees the opportunity to learn or put in practice ways to promote non-surgical products and services to existing patients, keeping them in house and providing them with the best possible care and outcome. Giving your surgical patients a reason to come back to your practice, you in charge of their maintenance and skincare. It’s a 360 degree experience, promoting and expanding on what procedures your current patients can get at your practice developing that relationship even stronger. A much easier approach than advertising to new clients.

Materials / method: Materials will be provided by the companies that you already do business with. For example reaching out to your vendors and promote an event - the representatives will be in house to support and educate your patients while you are busy injecting or doing other procedures. Many times the non-surgical procedures are forgotten or not mentioned and patients go elsewhere. Capitalize on your in-house marketing and use every tool available. Whether doing an event or doing a follow up visit - expending the circle of care.

Results: Extensive growth in your non-surgical procedures, whether performed by you or someone in your practice, getting your surgical patients a reason to come back and care for the surgical procedures they have had so they will last and incorporating referrals, patient events and in-house marketing that will grow and keep everyone in your practice occupied and successful.

Conclusion: By providing extensive and high class quality of patient care your patients and referrals will keep coming to your practice. There is nothing more rewarding than having patients who are fully satisfied with the care they have received from you return for more treatments and build that relationship stronger and stronger. It is much easier to keep current patients satisfied and coming to you for information about new procedures or time to freshen up on their current procedures or purchase their products from you. You will have a best friend for life.

Unfortunately, it is within that person’s power to make your life extremely complicated. It is important that you understand how to manage problematic patients to maintain your practice’s good reputation and prevent potential legal headaches.

Results: The best way to avoid having to confront issues concerning problematic patients is to make sure that you don’t associate with them in the first place.Try to identify potential problem patients early on and figure out the best ways to encourage them to avoid your practice without offending them. This is where hiring the best front desk and customer care employees come in. They need to be trained on responses to handle and screen for potentially problematic patients, identifying red flags. These include patients who vent frustrations about previous doctors and patients who have unrealistic expet

Conclusion: It also is important that medical aesthetics offices explain their policies as clearly as possible. A medical aesthetic office should team with an attorney to produce a contract for patients to sign prior to the administration of any procedures; this document should clearly present the conditions under which a medical spa will provide the prospective patient the service.

Skin burnout - The new threat for millenials?

Objectives: SKIN BURNOUT - the new threat for millenials?

Diagnose primary a Periorificial Dermatitis (PD).
Raise the awareness for evidence-based and individual appropriate skin care.
Provide a scientific approach to individual skincare and the management of periorificial dermatitis.

Introduction: The younger generation has become greater consumers of skin care products, with a desire to start taking care of their skin early. This is characterized by a need for high-performance products, which is reflected in the dramatic increase in usage. It can be attributed to the impact of social media. Our skin is constantly on display. People are confronted with the idea of forever looking good - 24/7 selfie ready! This desire to strive for the perfect complexion has been linked to excessive use of cosmetics and directly correlated with a worrying silent epidemic of periorificial dermatitis (PD).

Materials / method: A Questionnaire based study investigating the aetiology of PD was conducted, with particular emphasis on the significance of the overconsumption of products and the exponential increase of PD.

Results: Social media networks have provided easy to access platforms for influencers to present misinformed information surrounding skin care and products. Moreover, these platforms have played a role in increasing the amount of self-proclaimed “experts”, presenting their audience with advice on skin care and remedies. The issue in this case is that the information presented is often to fulfill a certain requirement, which calls into question both the validity and reliability of the advice. The bad repercussion is the alarming increase in PD, a benign inflammatory facial dermatosis.

Conclusion: When social media is saturated with influencers touting secrets to their perfect skin, truth seems hard to find. Contemplating the potentially devastating outcomes, it shines light on the importance of calling out the edited scientific reports. Although it is at the heart of our profession to provide a scientific approach to skincare, science is often couched in statistics and probability, which does not make for a glamorous marketing tool. It is therefore our responsibility to educate our patients, which will in turn provide them with the knowledge and tools to make more informed decisions.

Introduction: It is always a challenge to provide the best “Positive experience” for your patients. The main key to exceed your patient expectation is providing them with consistent care, education, space to feel comfortable to share with you their concerns freely and to always make sure that you achieve the full positive experience for them that include pre-consultation experience and post-consultation experience which involves continuous aftercare. always think as a patient what would you need from your healthcare provider.

Materials / method: Oral presentation – Powerpoint; earpiece and microphone for interactivity with audience and my assistant.

Results: Building a loyal customer base when addressing your patients’ needs to exceed their expectations.

Conclusion: With the high levels of competition you need to learn how to differentiate yourself from your competitors. Providing your patients with the best experience encourages loyalty, patients are different but they all value one thing "CARE" therefore you must be always prepared to track and measure your performance as there is always space for development.
