A personal message from Dr Henry Hin Lee Chan

Welcome everyone to the beautiful city of Shanghai, China.
I am glad to be invited to chair and speak at the first IMCAS China in Shanghai.
At this event, I will be lecturing on Asian pigmentation and laser treatments, CO2 laser versus non-ablative laser as well as cellulite, lipolysis and body contouring.

Asian skin tends to have more pigmented disorder compared to Caucasians as a result of photoaging.
Today, laser is a popular treatment for pigmented lesions. The approach of using laser on ethnic skin requires experienced evaluation and skills as there are various potential adverse effects, ranging from post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation to scarring.
I will also discuss the pros and cons of using CO2 laser versus non-ablative laser in Asian skin.

There have been recent advances in the management of cellulite, lipolysis and body contouring. In my practice, we have had experience in using focused ultrasound, cryolipolysis and other combination devices.
I will be going into further details regarding the efficacy and adverse effects of these treatments.

I look forward to participating in IMCAS China.
