Objectives: Several cosmetic dermatologic procedures have been introduced into the marked in the past years including but not limited to lasers and other light sources, botulinum neurotoxins, dermal fillers, suspending devices, etc. They are considered minimally invasive and relatively safe. Although cases of systemic diseases such as systemic sclerosis and dermatomyositis after implantation of silicone or paraffin have been reported, a review of the use of these procedures among patients with systemic diseases, specially autoimmune diseases, revealed the safety of these procedures in the majority of them.

Objectives: Lasers and intense pulsed light (IPL) devices have been used for the treatment of multiple cutaneous vascular lesions including telangiectasias, port wine stains, and infantile haemangiomas. The responses of vascular lesions to therapy are influenced by the type of light source used, the clinical characteristics of the target lesion, and patient-specific factors (eg, skin color, patient age).Our experience treating various conditions in patients from Bahrain using such devices will be presented with an emphasis on efficacy and safety of such treatments.

Introduction: Vascular Lesions are common in various skin types of different age groups. Lesions can be often disfiguring and may have a substantial negative impact on the patient's quality of life and well-being. Treating vascular lesions, both chronic and cosmetic, should aim at finding a modality that is both effective and safe. Lasers, in recent years, have become a mainstay of treatment for a wide range of both superficial and deep vascular lesions with satisfying results.

Results: Will be presented as before and after

Conclusion: Lasers are an effective treatment modality for cutaneous vascular lesions.
They can be used for patients of different age groups
Early treatment should be considered to avoid long term functional and cosmetic consequences.
Adverse effects are limited and can be avoided in the hands of experts.

Objectives: Botulinum toxin A was proved to have a positive effect on mood and depression.
in this presentation will try to explain how this works.

Introduction: Recipients of neurotoxin treatment reported an increase in emotional wellbeing beyond the cosmetic benefit .
What is the scientific rationale for this ?

Materials / method: Facial expressions such as frowning and sadness are recognized in depressed patients.
Emotional proprioception‭ ‭explains the influence that facial muscles have on the ‬emotional centers of the brain.
The Facial Feedback Hypothesis is the theory that Facial expressions effect how you feel emotionally
Neuromodulators injected. in these muscles deliver mood enhancement weakening muscles of sad expression

Results: Neuromodulators injection in corrugators procerus and depressor anguli oris deliver mood enhancement by weakening muscles of sad expression .

Conclusion: Botulinum toxin A does have a mood boosting effect
whether it is cosmetic ,emotional ,biologic or pharmacologic needs to be elucidated.
and whether it could be included in depression treatment is for further validation
