In private practice since 1991, Dr. Vivian Bucay serves on the volunteer faculty as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Physician Assistant Studies of the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. She received her undergraduate degree from The Johns Hopkins University (1979-83) and her medical degree from the Baylor College of Medicine (1983-87), after which she completed her dermatology residency at the University of Miami (1988-89) and the Baylor College of Medicine (1989-91).Dr. Bucay practiced in Mexico City until 1999 and relocated to San Antonio, Texas. Recognized for her expertise in minimally invasive facial rejuvenation through the combined use of neuromodulators,injectable fillers, and lasers/energy-based devices,Dr. Bucay serves on the faculty of several continuing medical education initiatives in the USA. She has been an invited speaker at numerous meetings, both nationally and internationally. Passionate about skin wellness, Dr. Bucay is also involved in several studies evaluating emerging cosmeceuticals. Dr. Bucay is the author or co-author of many publications in the peer-reviewed literature and has been featured and quoted in several publications, including Allure, Fitness, New Beauty, Elle, More, and Shape.
