Dr. Aamir Shaikh, MD began his “Pharmaceutical Physician” career as a Medical Advisor with Pfizer India Medical & Research Division in 1998. Over the next decade, he successfully delivered in positions of increasing responsibility and leadership, culminating in his role as Director, Medical Affairs & Research, Pfizer India.
In 2007, Aamir moved on from Pfizer to found Assansa, his own Health Care Consultancy. Based out of Mumbai, India, Assansa specializes in delivering Professional Development Programs for industry and academia in the domains of Pharmaceutical Medicine; Medical Affairs; Medical / Clinical Research, Education and Practice; and Health Care Leadership.
Over the last decade and more (2007-2025), Assansa has worked successfully with leading health care / pharmaceutical organizations, within both industry and academia. Aamir has served as Course Director, Diploma in Clinical Research, Dept. of Life Sciences & Biochemistry, St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, India. He has also served as Visiting (Adjunct) Faculty for Leadership And Personal Effectiveness - S P Jain School Of Global Management, Executive/Global MBA Programs – Dubai, Singapore, and Mumbai.
Aamir’s ongoing purpose and endeavor is “Helping Health Care Professionals Grow.” His experience in industry and academia lead him to believe that this can be achieved through an identified personal philosophy and mindset - one which embraces lifelong learning, and seeks alignment in the areas of knowledge, science, business and ethics.
Over 2021-2025, Aamir has facilitated Professional Development Programs and delivered lectures for Asia Pacific Aesthetic Clinicians in the areas of 1) Clinical Research 2) Medical Writing and Publication, and 3) Sound Communication In Clinical Practice 4) Evidenced-Based Practice 5) Continuing Professional Development and 6) Thought Leadership.
