Dr Pierre Quinodoz is a specialist FMH in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic surgery. Born on June 29th 1962 in Geneva, Switzerland, he graduated in medicine with honors at the University of Geneva, followed by a plastic surgery fellowship.After two years as an Assistant Professor at the Plastic Surgery Department at the University Hospital of Geneva (HUG), he spent several months abroad. In 2001, he opened his own private practice in Geneva. He is an active Board member of the Swiss Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic surgery; in 1999 he won one of their prizes. He still collaborates actively with the HUG on research regarding skin aging. Over the past 10 years, Dr Quinodoz has annually organized workshops in reconstructive surgery in Eastern Africa and in the Great Lakes regions to educate African surgeons, with the support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. He is also the founder and President of the Swiss humanitarian Association 2nd Chance dedicated to reconstructive surgery for life reconstruction, founded in 2010.
