Descrição do paciente
Dear Colleagues,
I would appreciate your insights regarding a case following an IPL LUMECA (515 nm) session performed on October 10th. I treated a 47-year-old woman for photoaging of the décolleté, using one full pass at 10 J/cm² and additional targeted pulses at 12 J/cm² for the pigmented spots.
Descrição do caso
She is now reporting persistent redness several weeks post-treatment and is dissatisfied with the overall result.
In your experience, could this persistent erythema be related to the first IPL session and the fluence levels used, or might it indicate another underlying issue (e.g., vascular reactivity, subclinical inflammation, or parameter sensitivity)? Would you consider this within the normal post-laser recovery spectrum?
Additionally, would you proceed with a second session, or would you recommend waiting longer or adjusting parameters before continuing the protocol?
Thank you in advance for your valuable feedback.
