Dr. Louis CADY

Dr. Louis B. Cady is a board-certified psychiatrist, Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. He completed his internship and residency in psychiatry at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, following his medical education at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.

After establishing a conventional psychiatric practice in 1993, Dr. Cady developed a clinical focus on achieving durable remission rather than symptom control alone. This led him to pursue advanced training in age-management and functional medicine, integrating nutrition, hormone optimization, and neuromodulation into psychiatric care. In 2005, he founded the Cady Wellness Institute, a multidisciplinary wellness and neuromodulation practice.

In 2011, Dr. Cady incorporated transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) into clinical practice for the treatment of depression, becoming one of the early adopters of this technology in the United States. His educational video Dr. Cady Explains TMS has been viewed more than 82,000 times and remains a widely referenced patient-education resource.

In 2024, Dr. Cady served as lead investigator in a company-sponsored study evaluating the BTL Exomind system for food cravings and impulse control. He has lectured internationally, including in the United States and Hong Kong, on the application of neuromodulation—particularly TMS-based technologies—within mental health and aesthetic medicine, and currently serves as an advisor to the Hong Kong Institute of Neuromodulation.

Dr. Cady remains in active clinical practice in Evansville, Indiana, integrating neuromodulation, hormone optimization, pharmacogenomics, and evidence-based functional medicine. His work in Functional Aesthetics® focuses on the intersection of neurobiology, metabolic health, and aesthetic outcomes.
