Dr. Polen KOCAK

I am an Assistant Professor at the Biomedical Engineering Department of İstinye University, İstanbul, Turkey. I have also participated on an ongoing project at the Biomaterials Innovation Research Center (BIRC) at Brigham Women’s Hospital (BWH), Harvard Medical School, MA, USA during my Ph.D. I am the co-founder and CEO of Genestetix Biotechnology. My research focuses on developing engineered exosome based therapeutic strategies via solving the engineering and manufacturing challenges to enable exosomes to deliver precise therapeutics in a targeted way. My long-term research goal is to develop a pipeline of exosome based therapies which will hopefully have transformative impact for patients.
