Biografia
Tom Nuijs is a Fellow with Philips Research. Born in The Netherlands in 1958, he studied chemistry and physics and obtained his PhD degree in biophysics. He joined Philips Research in 1987, worked on optical problems for 10 years and then shifted his interest to the interaction of light with human skin. He pioneered the research and development of light-based hair removal and skin care devices for home use. He is a member of the ASLMS and presented the outcome of the research done by his team on various occasions.
