Emily DOUGHERTY

Award-winning journalist Emily Dougherty has been covering the aesthetics industry for over 20 years, most recently as editor-in-chief of NewBeauty, where her redesign of the magazine earned industry awards and acclaim. Prior to NewBeauty, Dougherty was the longtime beauty and fitness director at ELLE USA, where she spent 15 years editing the beauty and wellness section, the largest of any US magazine. She has tested anti-gravity firming creams with the help of scientists at Cape Canaveral, and has gone undercover as a hairstylist at film festivals and as a makeup artist at fashion shows to test the efficacy of new product launches. Dougherty graduated from Yale and lives in NYC with her husband and 4-year-old son.
