摘要

Objectives: How to use ultrasonography to prevent parotid injury, one of the most serious complication related thread lifting, and visualize parotid injury. Introduction: Both parotid gland and parotid duct injury are one of the serious complications of thread lifting which is well known among practitioners who perform thread lifting. Many doctors and papers warn about this, but there is still no visualized evidence yet till now. Materials / method: Ultrasonography was used for checking parotid before, during after thread lifting to identify parotid injury for 8 patients. Results: Ultrasonography visualized how thread injured parotid gland and duct. Conclusion: Ultrasonography is very useful not only to detect but also to prevent parotid injury.
