Abstract

Objectives: We propose a new modification techniqes of rejuvenation of male's faces based on absorbable thread implantation. In this study, we aimed to share an effective and safe modified technique implantation of absorbable threads made of P (LA/CL) for rejuvenation and thread lifting of male face. Introduction: In the modern world attractive look is one of the most important instruments for creating good first impression. Attractive look is as important for women as for men. This is the reason the number of male patients increases in the aesthetic clinics. However, the features of the anatomical structure of the skull, fat pads, the strength of ligaments and skin characteristics differ in men and women. This is also related to the modification of techniques for implanting threads on a man’s face. Materials / method: We formed a group of patients (30 patients: 16 women and 14 men) for thread procedures and we study, develop and intoduce the thread lifting methods and techniques for male patients, which are different for male and female patients regarding anatomical differences of bones, muscles, fat pads and skin. Results: Various methods have been developed and presented regarding the characteristic anatomical differences as angles of maxilla and mandibula, zygoma curvature, jaw line, forehead bone, orbital complex. Conclusion: Thanks to suggested methods of thread lifting we can eliminate the feminization of the male and the muscularization of the female face, provide a prolonged and harmonious result of thread correction.
