Abstract

Objectives: - To present the latest developments in the risk factors for acne scars, - To evaluate the factors involved in generating acne scars, - To develop a specific program for our patients to reduce the risk of acne scars. Introduction: Acne is one of the most frequent diseases in dermatology and is associated with a substantial negative impact on quality of life. Acne scars can be classified in many ways, and our goal is both to prevent the development of the scars and to treat them as soon as possible to reduce the negative impact on quality of life. Materials / method: The approach to acne scars must start from the primary factors involved in development, including the delay in going to the doctor and debunking the myths about acne scars. At the same time, we must involve our colleagues from different specialties (pediatricians, general physicians, endocrinologists, etc.) to refer the patients to dermatologists as soon as possible. Results: Various anti-scar strategies are available to address the signs and the impact of these acne scars. Our approach must be individualized and personalized, integrative and holistic, modulated and adapted, complete and complex, sequentially and continuously! The approach to patient care involves creating a customized and tailored program considering their unique needs and preferences. We strive to provide a comprehensive and holistic approach that is adapted and adjusted as needed to ensure maximum effectiveness. Conclusion: Creating a program for acne patients that incorporates educational programs and medical approaches (including Energy Based Devices) is essential to prevent and reduce the impact of acne scars.
