Abstract

Objectives: To understand and establishing the old school protocol of treating freckles with the conventional nanosecond q switched nd yag laser and its relevance in today's Era. Introduction: Treating freckles is something which is there since a long time through various treatment modalities right from co2,chemical peels,radiofrequency, ruby laser,Alexandrite laser,nanosecond lasers and picosecond lasers to name a few, Here we are establishing the nanosecond q switched nd yag lasers proven protocol and its relevance in skin of color and the importance of a good system to optimise the results. Materials / method: We have shared our protocols and experience of our own patients of skin of color to treat freckles through finebeam laser and tried to establish an Importance of good laser system to achieve maximum results in a safer way without adverse events. Results: We have shared our patients before after and our experience on the finebeam to treat freckles in skin of color. Conclusion: Finebeam system is a good option to achieve excellent clearance for freckles in our patients with skin of color and its still relevant.
