Rethinking dermal targeting in skin rejuvenation

Objectives: To evaluate 24-month clinical efficacy, photographic outcomes, patient satisfaction, and safety of DoubleTite - dual-depth microneedle RF (0.3mm+1.0mm) with simultaneous multi-component intradermal injection - in Asian patients with mild-to-moderate facial skin laxity. Introduction: Skin aging causes loss of dermal collagen, resulting in facial laxity, rhytids, and enlarged pores. DoubleTite is a Korean platform delivering dual-depth microneedle RF (0.3mm papillary + 1.0mm reticular dermis) with simultaneous multi-component injection via RI-13 tip (8 RF + 5 injection pins). This combines structural RF-induced collagen remodeling with immediate dermal replenishment, distinct from RF monotherapy or separate injection protocols. Materials / method: 8 Asian female patients (mean age 43.2y; range 34-57) with mild-to-moderate facial laxity enrolled. Each session combined dual-depth needle RF (0.3+1.0mm) with simultaneous intradermal injection (HA, PDRN, peptide growth factors, exosomes; individualized per patient). Treatments at baseline, 3, and 12 months. Assessments at baseline, 1, 3, 6, 12, 18, 24 months: standardized photography (blinded evaluators), GAIS, VAS (0-10), skin elasticity/hydration, adverse event monitoring. Results: All 8 patients completed 24-month follow-up. Collagen +51.3%, dermal thickness +13.1%. GAIS: 100% Improved/Much Improved at 6 months; 87.5% maintained at 24 months. VAS: 8.6+/-0.7 at 6 months; 8.1+/-0.9 at 24 months. Photographic: visible jawline, midface, pore, fine line improvement in all cases. DoubleTite outperformed RF monotherapy across all 14 parameters. Safety: no serious AEs; transient erythema only; no scarring or nerve injury at 24 months. Conclusion: DoubleTite combining dual-depth needle RF with simultaneous multi-component injection delivers durable, safe non-surgical facial rejuvenation over 24 months in Asian patients. Synergistic collagen induction with bioactive replenishment produces superior outcomes vs RF monotherapy. This minimal-downtime Korean protocol is particularly suited to Asian skin, representing a valuable addition to the non-surgical aesthetic armamentarium.
