Biography
Born in Toronto, undergrad at McGill, Med School UWO. Residency: Montreal, , London, Ontario, San Francisco, New York (Montefiore and Einstein). Practice in Banff since 1983. 3 grown children. Board certified in the United States in Plastic Surgery, Certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC). YWCA Woman of Distinction Award in Calgary 1991 for work with College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta - Chair of Task Force on Sexual Abuse of patients by physicians. College Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta – Chair of Non-Hospital Surgical Facilities committee – set up standards and guidelines and accreditation system for out-patient surgery facilities in the province. American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Board of Trustees Special Achievement Award (for contribution to plastic surgery), October 2010 (only one awarded per year). Over 150 presentations and teaching courses nationally and internationally on breast surgery. Co-editor book – Grabb’s Encyclopedia of Flaps – won the award of the American Association of Publishers for the best clinical book published in 1990. Author of book: Aesthetic Breast Surgery, Principles and Techniques. Published in 2010. Past member of Ethics Committee American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Canadian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Multiple other publications, chapters etc.
