Dear colleagues,
I saw today a patient referred by a friend of someone I know, who came to have her sutures removed after a blepharoplasty correction done abroad. During the same session, she also had a CO₂ laser treatment.
I don’t have much experience with post-laser care, but her healing doesn’t look quite as expected at day 7. There’s some yellowish moist crusting that makes me concerned about a possible infection. She’s currently using daily chlorhexidine and a soothing Obagi ointment.
In my opinion, the laser seems to have been too aggressive for her age and concerns. I advised her to book an appointment with a reputable dermatologist experienced in laser treatments for further evaluation.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated.
