Patient description
35 a old female patient, no medication
Case description
Dear colleagues (selection of cc is not in the complications list, so I put it under scarring)
The patient had a breast augmentation 8 weeks ago, subgland, anatomical shaped microtextured implants. No drains .
The left breast had a seroma immediately after the operation. Aspiration has been performed - bacterial swab showed no bacteria growth. The MRI only showed little fluid, nothing ready for re-operation The left breast looks a little like a beginning cc and also on palpation it feels firmer than the other side, which is completely tender and nice looking.
The patient was set under oral corticoids for 4 days, after that it got better. 3 day after finishing the therapy, the breast got firmer again.
I have never seen such an early onset of a cc!
What would you suggest - a longer course of corticoids? Something else? Removal of the implant or waiting?
Thank you for your help!
