Objectives: describe the hybrid technique of structural preservation rhinoplasty
Introduction: preservation rhinoplasty is not a new technique :first description in 1898 BY COTTLE
Many evolutions have been described and modifications
Materials / method: retrospectiv study about 30 cases of hybrid technique
follow up 3 years
Results: improvment in 26 cases
4 complications
2 residual humps after 6 months
2 asymetry of the tip
Conclusion: PRESERVATION RHINOPLASTY is born from the idea of conserving the original anatomy of the nose strives to maintain the structure instead of removing it
this new concept avoir the need for reconstruction by grafting
in case of hypo-projected nose or heavy skin a cartilage graft will be necessary to support the tip (septal extensed graft ). this is a combined technique :structural for the tip and preservation for the dorsum
technique indications and complications will be described by the author
