Objectives: 1. familiarize the audience with the potential of exosomes
2. explain the difference between exosomes and hybrasomes
3. demonstrate clinical cases using exosomes and hybrasomes
Introduction: Exosomes are a new addition to the aesthetic arsenal and require an understanding of their nature and effect. The field is currently in its infancy but progressing rapidly. Herein, a brief description of exosomes is demonstrated and how they compare to a newer agent, hybrasomes are compared.
Materials / method: Patients treated through randomized, split face and case series are presented and data is reviewed.
Results: Exosomes likely need to be more youthful to be effective. Hybrasomes appear to be a more effective way of delivering exosomes.
Conclusion: Exosomes are promising additions to the field of aesthetics. Very little data exists on their efficacy. Human exosomes are not approved even as cosmetic products. Hybrasomes represent a more promising application.
