Objectives: Nose treatment in aesthetic medicine with Fillers is particularly indicated in Asian noses where an increase in size is required, therefore very widespread in Far East countries. these techniques also spread in the West, not to increase the volumes of the nose but to camouflage the peculiarities.
Introduction: “Nose Reshaping” inappropriate called “Non Surgical Rhynoplasty” is one of the areas more difficult to treat with dermal fillers.
As usual we can perform to complete a Surgical Rhynoplasty, to correct a little remaining over bone deficit by filling a little area.
During the last years has became more and more frequent the treatment of the Prophiloplasty only with fillers by the improvement of the Nose and the Chin properly.
Materials / method: Avanced Fillers are the first choice among fillers to use to correct the nose in consideration of their softness, long lasting and natural results with final complete reabsorption.
Anatomy
The face can be divided into equal thirds, where the middle third is bordered by the nasion and the nasal base. The radix is the area where the forehead connects with the nasal dorsum through a soft, concave curve. This region (the radix) can be evaluated in the context of a level difference or a step in reference to forehead plane. This distance typically should be 6 mm deep in females and 4 mm in males. T
Results: Prior to treatment, the patient should be fully assessed and consented to the procedure. Excluding a Surgical Rhynoplasty procedure in the next five years. Point out any pre-existing asymmetries, advise patients that specific cheek lines or smile lines may not completely disappear following treatment and discuss the procedure, anaesthesia (local infiltration or Troncular Block) and any potential adverse effects. Ensure good, standardized before and after pictures are taken.
Conclusion: Soft-tissue fillers are a useful tool for the rhinoplasty surgeon. A complete understanding of the anatomy and key differences between individual product properties can ensure appropriate application of soft-tissue fillers in rhinoplasty.
