Objectives: To present an evidence-based and personal approach on how to create harmony and balance in male aesthetics.

Introduction: Men have become a significant segment of the aesthetic industry. Despite the demand, men have been ignored in studies involving beauty and ageing, which focused mainly on the female face. Successful aesthetic treatments by dermatologists require a holistic approach on skin biology and proper recognition of skin diseases and features of ageing. Gender differences in anatomy, behaviour and rejuvenation goals should also be considered. Balance and harmony are essential to achieve a favorable cosmetic outcome.

Materials / method: 9 males aged 25 to 71 (mean age=38), Jan 2019-present. All patients were initially seen because of skin diseases. The patients were classified in the following age groups: 25-34.11; 35-44.11; 45-54.11; 55-64.11; 65-75. A treatment plan was created on all patients which consists of the ff:
1. Anamnesis
2. Structural assessment/Visual impact analysis was conducted which included morphology, structure, equilibrium, skin quality, wrinkles, sagginess, projection and expression.
3. Diet and exercise
All patients underwent non-invasive and minimally-invasive aesthetic procedures.

Results: Six out of 9 patients belong to the 25-34.11 age group and initially presented with acne, rosacea, acne conglobata and other skin diseases. Request for aesthetic procedures started only when their skin condition has improved dramatically. Three patients who belong to the older age group requested for regular rejuvenation treatments to slow down the signs of ageing. Two of the patients requested feminization of facial features. All patients expressed satisfaction on combination treatments. No serious side effects were encountered on subsequent follow-up.

Conclusion: The number of male patients seeking aesthetic treatment continuosly increase. The dermatologist should be able to create a more holistic plan which do not only address enhancement of facial features, but also consider overall skin health, health lifestyle/behavior and rejuvenation goals. The scientific community should also broaden our understanding of the male face and appropriate treatment with minimally invasive cosmetic procedures.

Objectives: To recognize that male patient is part of a growing market in aesthetics
To recognize that the lower face needs special attention in order to create balance and masculinized facial features
To learn the Sexy Jaw Technique using hyaluronic Acid fillers

Introduction: The male market has grown considerably in recent times. Much focus is given to the lower face in order to create a more masculinized facial feature and create definition of the jawline. While it maybe easy to do, careful attention must be given in treating the male jawline in order to avoid unbalanced, unnatural or overfilled look. This lecture demonstrates my own technique using hyaluronic acid fillers for jawline rejuvenation, which I call the Sexy Jaw Technique.

Materials / method: The concepts of male facial beauty standards, aesthetic goals, as well as challenges in achieving goals shall be presented. Short video clips of the technique will be demonstrated with subsequent before and after photos of patients with different facial morphologies.

Results: Perfecting the male jawline involves using the right kind of filler, with the right amounts, injected at the appropriate layer using specific injection techniques. Mastery of anatomy is important. The most notable danger zone is deep along the body of the mandible where the facial artery arises. Stiff volumizers or high G’ fillers may be injected deep into the bone, by the angle of the mandible, to create projection and achieve the desired bigonial width. Dynamic but projecting fillers may also be used superficially using a cannula to create shape and definition along the jawline.

Conclusion: Male jaw enhancement has gained popularity in recent times. Creating a balanced, natural and masculinized look is of utmost importance. Proper knowledge of anatomy and having the right kind of hyaluronic acid fillers are keys in achieving this. The Sexy Jaw technique involves injecting the right kind of filler into the right layer of the jawline to achieve projection and/or definition.

Introduction: While women represent the largest proportion of aesthetic medicine patients, recent reports demonstrate more and more men are opting for aesthetic procedures. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) men accounted for around 8% of the total cosmetic procedures in 2020. Sharing our experience with male patients can improve our knowledge and experience to maximize the satisfaction of our clients

Materials / method: In this presentation, I will review the market of male clients in aesthetes medicine and the new changes in trends with focus on new articles and publications.
I will discuss the difference in managing, making treatment plan and injection technique differences following by some videos of my techniques. I will also discuss the differences in aging changes.

Results: The aesthetic market for male clients is growing and we are expecting to be much more involved in the treatment of male patients Due to the differences between female and male clients in terms of anatomy, physiology, aging changes ,psychology and expectations improving our knowledge and experience along with educating our patients is a key of a successful practice

Conclusion: While the specialism of aesthetic medicine has traditionally focused on treating female patients, an emerging body of literature is acknowledging a growing demand for procedures for male patients. Developing an awareness of gender-specific preferences, as well as facial dimorphism, is important to achieve successful treatment outcomes in male patients. The literature to date confirms the approaches and knowledge required to adequately select and provide a variety of aesthetic procedures to meet the needs of aesthetic male patients.

Objectives: Demonstrate how the removal of pearly penile papules improves the quality of sexual life of our patients

Introduction: Satisfaction survey was carried out a month after treatment and again carried out between 1 to 5 years of post-treatment control, consulting the level of benefit in their sexual quality of life, the new appearance of the PPP, and in case of reappearance, percentage of the same

Materials / method: 75 patients diagnosed with pearly penile papules treated with fractionated carbon dioxide laser

Results: Ninety percent of the patients immediately qualified their quality of sexual life as a significant improvement based on the PPP removal treatment using a CO2 laser. In addition, most of the patients qualified with a score of 9 on a scale of 1 to 10, the degree of improvement in their quality of sexual life, even after several years after treatment.

Conclusion: PPP should be treated from the moment of their diagnosis, since their CO2 laser treatment has shown a great improvement in their quality of sexual life.
