Objectives: To introduce and describe the Domino Medical Lifting technique as an adaptable, multi-vector lifting approach suitable for patients of diverse ethnic backgrounds, and to highlight its versatility in addressing age-related volume loss, skin laxity, and facial asymmetry.
Introduction: Facial aging patterns and aesthetic ideals vary significantly among different ethnicities. Domino Medical Lifting is a holistic lifting concept based on the line of ligaments that combines strategic filler placement with soft-tissue repositioning to restore balance, projection, and youthful contours. Named for its stepwise, sequential logic—like falling dominoes—it emphasizes harmonization of facial units through vector-based volumization. This method adapts to the structural and cultural uniqueness of each face, making it highly effective across varied patient populations.
Materials / method: The technique utilizes high-viscosity hyaluronic acid fillers and/or biostimulatory agents injected in a sequential, layer-specific manner, often starting from lateral anchoring points (e.g., zygomatic arch) and progressing laterally and inferiorly. The method is customized for each ethnicity to respect natural facial proportions and avoid overfilling or Westernization of features. Emphasis is placed on lifting rather than filling, often requiring lower product volume with enhanced structural impact. The treatment is performed using mainly cannulas.
Results: Patients of various ethnicities—including Asian, African, Middle Eastern, and Latin American descent—showed consistent improvements in facial definition, midface elevation, and contour refinement, with preservation of individual ethnic identity. High satisfaction was reported due to the natural, non-distorting results. The technique was particularly appreciated for its ability to adapt to thick or heavy soft tissues and different facial skeletal projections. Adverse events were minimal and manageable with standard protocols.
Conclusion: Domino Medical Lifting is an innovative and culturally sensitive aesthetic approach that delivers effective facial rejuvenation across ethnicities. By prioritizing structural lift laterally to the line of ligaments, over volume and adjusting technique to respect individual anatomy, it offers a refined solution for global aesthetic practices. Its adaptability makes it a valuable addition to the modern injector’s toolkit.
