Objectives: Resident training
Introduction: One of our main tasks in professional medical education is to ensure solid training to our residents. Many cowboy cosmetic dealers and treatments are offered to patients nowadays. More and more it’s difficult for patients to distinguish between trained and non trained physicians!
In plastic surgery many hurtles are evident: rarely aesthetic surgeries are covered by general insurance, aesthetic patient tend to direct to the director of resident programs, hospitals might be resistant towards aesthetic treatments, resident of Generation Y dislike overtime work.
Materials / method: 15 years of resident training develop a program that enabled proper training in aesthetics procedures with a win win solution
Results: In this presentation I demonstrate the daily practice in resident education.
