TREATMENT OF FRONTAL FIBROSING ALOPECIA, LICHEN PLANOPILARIS AND FOLLICULITIS DECALVANS.

During the lecture we will discuss the current therapeutic options for the 3 most frequent scarring alopecias, based on the scientific evidence and on our experience:
1. FRONTAL FIBROSING ALOPECIA: oral dutasteride/finasteride, hydroxychloroquine, topical or intralesional steroids, topical immunomodulators (tacrolimus and pimecrolimus), topical minoxidil, oral isotretinoin for facial papules, eyebrow micropigmentation, wigs and hair transplant i

Introduction: 2. LICHEN PLANOPILARIS: topical, intralesional and oral steroids, hydroxychloroquine, doxycycline, cyclosporine, pioglitazone, platelet rich plasma, low level light therapy, topical and oral minoxidil, oral naltrexone, JAK inhibitors, keratin microfibers and hair transplant in selected patients.
3. FOLLICULITIS DECALVANS: topical and intralesional steroids, doxycycline, combination of rifampicin-clindamycin, photodynamic therapy, dapsone, oral isotretinoin and hair transplant in selected patients.
