Objectives: To demonstrate the safety and efficacy of a 25 mg/ml HA for the management of labia majora deflation.
Introduction: The labia majora plays a vital role in protecting the labia minora.This protection prevents unwanted friction of the labia minora that may cuase pain.
Hypotrophy of the labia majora is a cuase of chronic vulvitis and vulvo vaginal dryness causing discomfort, priritus and intromission dispareunia.
Materials / method: The study was conducted between November 2019-July 2020 . 40 patients with different degree of vulvar ptosis and deflation were recruited.
One single application of a 25 mg/ml HA was performed.
FU were done at 30 - 60 and 90 days with photographic record and Global Aesthetic Improvement Scale (GAIS)
Results: The results were all positive with a complete satisfaction of our patients and there was no need of a touch up.
There were no severe adverse effects from this treatment in any of the patients.
Conclusion: HA in a 25 mg/ml is a safe and effective method to treat this type of patients.
