Objectives: The objectives of this presentation is to review the newest and latest body contouring and fat reduction devices and how best to use them for the successful treatment of unwanted lax skin or for fat reduction.

Introduction: Body contouring and Fat reduction are very popular procedures and many devices have entered into our armamentarium to combat the problem.

Materials / method: An evidence-based review will show how well these devices work in everyday clinical practice.

Results: Body contouring and Fat reduction with EBDs is real and we have the technology now to successfully reduce fat in appropriate patients.

Objectives: The objective of the study is to compare efficacy of Body Contouring technologies i.e Cryolipolysis and HIFEM.We studied the outcome of both technologies singularly and in combination, and compared patient satisfaction related to results.

Introduction: HIFEM is a combination of electromagnetic pulses that stimulate motor neurons and result in muscle contraction. The device we used creates Supramaximal muscle contractions and claims to reduce subcutaneous fat by 17% and increase muscle mass by 19 %
Cryolipolysis is a non-invasive cooling of fat cells to selectively induce lipolysis without damage to surrounding tissue or structures.Cooling leads to death of adipocytes that macrophages engulf and digest.It claims to reduce reduces the fat layer by 20-25% over 3 months.

Materials / method: We conducted a study on 246 subjects with Cryolipolysis and 20 with HIFEM as standalone treatment.8 patients were treated with combination of both where Cryolipolysis(average 4 small cycles ) was done for abdomen followed by HIFEM post 7 days( four sessions ).Evaluation was done by Patient Satisfaction Scale (level 1-5) and photographic assessment. Patient Satisfaction Scale was filled by the subjects after 3 months of their last treatment.

Results: Patient Satisfaction Scale(level 1-5) was filled by the subjects after 3 months of their last treatment.
Cryolipolysis alone results.-
Level 5-3 5% subjects
Level 4 –45% subjects
level 3 -20%
There were no subjects in level 1 or 2
HIFEM ALONE.-Level 5 -50% of subjects
Level 3 -30%
level 1 - 20% subjects
Combination of HIFEM AND Cryolipolysis-
Level 5 -75% subjects
Level 3 -25%

Conclusion: HIFEM is an effective modality for Body Contouring concerns ranging from muscle to fat.It improves the definition of abdomen and gluteal region and also reduces the stubborn fat deposits ..
Cryolipolysis is an effective modality for Body Contouring and useful to reduce pockets of fat has high level of patient satisfaction. and . People with mild to moderate size fat bulges are the ideal candidates
HIFEM and Cryolipolysis in combination give higher patient satisfaction for Body Contouring compared to either of the modalities alone.We would suggest cryolipolysis to be done prior to HIFEM.
