Materials / method: In this particular case, responses and discussion incorporated many issues and management strategies including;
utilisation of hyaluronidase , steroids , hyperbaric oxygen, capillary return signs. ultrasound interrogation, choice of needle size, possibility of decanting of fillers into insulin syringes with 31g needles & the value of an emergency kit for vascular occlusions..........

Results: The colleague who submitted the perplexing case acknowledged the value of respondents' management suggestions.

Objectives: To describe and summarize current management paradigms for delayed inflammatory reactions from fillers

Introduction: Delayed inflammatory reactions (DIRs) from fillers are a problem faced by many injectors during their career. There is still a lot of controversy as to the cause of these. This talk will try to summarize the current schools of thought on diagnosis and management of DIRs.

Materials / method: A talk that provides a literature review and personal experience. Also summarizes the experiences of users on the IMCAS Alert forum. A pertinent case will be used to launch the discussion.

Results: Pertinent case summary and discussion.

Conclusion: Several mechanisms have been postulated for the evolution of DIRs. A summary of etiological factors and management algorithms will be presented through the discussion of a case recently submitted on the forum.

Introduction: Self injectors of soft tissue fillers are a rising population at the out patient clinic for filler complications

Materials / method: A case of a 54 year old soft tissue filler self injector woman

Results: Bacterial injection leading to redness, swelling, pain and scars

Conclusion: Antibiotics are needed to end a bacterial injection. Short term and long term antibiotics
