Objectives: Local and topical anaesthesia play a significant role in aesthetic procedures, making them more comfortable for patients.
Regarded as generally safe for the purposes, the complications and side effects are often underestimated. In many cases the side effects from anaesthetic agents are not recognised and attributed to other treatments or products used in the treatment.
This presentation will revise important aspects of the use of anesthetic agents such as optimising dosages, recognising side effects and complications and also the management of these.
