Objectives: Most Doctor concentrate on the importance of hair restoration without thinking that if they can stabilise the existing hair from further hair loss this will help the patient much more than simple reconstruction.
Introduction: Hair restoration is not limited to just having a hair transplant. It is about management of hair loss. To prevent the miniturization of hair in a younger patient is equal to a hair transplant of 22 graft/sq cm. This is a life long process and that is why it becomes very important to understand the stabilisation of existing hair.
Materials / method: different methods are used to stop or reduce the process of miniaturisation and subsequently androgenic alopecia. It ranges from minoxidil both oral and topical, finsatride/dutestaride topical and oral, PRP/PGRF, LLLT, Exosomes/hair derived stem cells / ADSC and other such regenerative procedures.
Results: All these process have shown marked improvement in stabilisation of thinning process both as a monotherpy and combination therapy is all patients and improving the diameter by 10% or 10Microns can have a coverage value of 36% (John Cole).
Conclusion: These finding shows the importance of treating the patient early in life and or treating them inclusive of hair management along with Hair restoration,
