Fount Bio, self-described as a Cambridge, Massachusetts-based clinical-stage life sciences company, is developing the world’s first clinically proven aesthetic skin boosting product, Fli?-Derm, to rapidly build crosslinked hyaluronic acid (HA) within the skin. Flī-Derm offers a highly differentiated product profile that provides both immediate and long-lasting skin quality improvements (including fine lines and rhytids) coupled with unparalleled safety and tolerability. Treatment with Flī-Derm is a fast, streamlined clinical procedure that delivers crosslink-able HA precursors into skin with gentle microneedling.

When asked about their Innovation Tank experience, Fount Bio says, “From the initial founding of Fount Bio, our team has been working head down on progressing our dream of developing a true innovation in aesthetic medicine… The choice of the Innovation Tank was an easy one for us. IMCAS World Congress is the signature event that brings together leaders from aesthetic medicine and industry from across the world. This is the ecosystem into which we aspire to make impact and differentiate ourselves… We initially viewed our acceptance into the Innovation Tank competition as credentialling. But to actually win the competition and receive such recognition by the Innovation Tank judges was amazing!” When asked for any advice for 2025 hopeful participants, Fount Bio highly recommends the following: respect the guidelines (especially the 5-minute time constraint!), be respectful of your “don’t knows” and your “do knows” when presenting your company and product, and last but not least, have fun!

Coming in as a close runnerup, Caarisma says that their decision to participate in the IMCAS Innovation Tank was based on their desire to “achieve visibility at the #1 global congress in aesthetic medicine and get feedback from an international renowned and recognized jury.” Was this achieved? Absolutely, resulting in, “several global players in the field [connecting]… to discuss opportunities,” resulting in active negotiations regarding licensing and partnerships. What advice can Caarisma offer 2025 participants? “Have evidence-based data!”
