IMCAS conferences feature teaching material as well as economic intel and exclusive information in the plastic surgery and cosmetic dermatology domains. It is a first-hand source of information and a solid teaching program, reserved first of all to paying participants.
As IMCAS conferences are not "public events", IMCAS reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to grant or decline press accreditation to any journalist, regarding the pertinence of his/her request.
When giving accreditation to an external journalist, IMCAS expects a publication in the concerned media outlet afterwards, as a basic agreement in principle to be respected.
Only individuals who are acting in an editorial capacity for a recognised print, online or broadcast news organisation and whose attendance of the meeting will result in print, broadcast or electronic coverage of IMCAS, will be authorised to register for press accreditation.
Advance press registration will be open until 1 week before the beginning of the congress, after which time press members may only register on site.
IMCAS Press Office reserves the right to inspect the credentials of any press representative and to refuse to register any individual as press for the meeting.
IMCAS may decide to refuse an accreditation if the media outlet deals with a non-relevant topic or features an editorial line that does not match IMCAS principles.
IMCAS Press Office reserves the right to limit the number of press badges due to space requirements.
IMCAS does not necessarily share or endorse the views and the techniques presented during its meetings.
IMCAS participants (lecturers) are requested to sign a disclosure statement at the moment of their registration. Handout materials are prepared and submitted for distribution by the presenters who are solely responsible for their content.
IMCAS holds the copyright to all educational materials presented during its meetings, such as recordings, handouts, posters, abstracts and presentation synopsis.
The information presented during the IMCAS meetings may not be published in broadcast or electronic media in its original format (except for the Press Releases).
It is forbidden to develop Continuing Medical Education programs on the grounds of scientific information provided during the meetings.
Representatives of any company that produces Continuing Medical Education (CME) materials or content in any country and in any capacity or that offers CME credit by any means will not be given accreditation, regardless of whether the company produces editorial content as well.
All press members must pick up their badge at the dedicated area of the Welcome Desk.
Release time
Unless otherwise stated, the official release time for material presented during scientific sessions is the date and beginning time of the scientific session in which it is presented.
The official release time of the poster exhibits and e-papers is 9 AM on the first day of the congress.
Interview requests
We invite journalists to submit their interview requests directly to press@imcas.com once they have browsed the program. If you are not sure which speaker would be the appropriate person to interview for your subject of interest please let us know the subject and we will be happy to advise. The Press Department will then liaise directly with the speaker to arrange a convenient time for interview.
Photography, video and audio recording
Registered press are allowed to:
- Conduct videotaped interviews only when accompanied by a member of IMCAS staff under special circumstances.

Audio record interviews only with the written consent of the interviewee in order to gather information for accuracy and not for rebroadcasting or reproduction.

Photographing and videotaping in any scientific session, or the poster exhibit area

Photographing scientific material, including the use of digital cameras and camera phones, in the exhibit hall, the poster exhibit area, and the scientific sessions.
