Biography

After receiving PhD (Developmental Biology) at Kyushu University in Japan, I started my career as a postdoc at European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) in Germany in 2009, investigating dynamics of embryonic development by using a Japanese killifish, medaka. By awarded prestigious research fellowships; Human Frontier Science Program (HFSP) long-term fellowship and Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) postdoctoral fellowship for oversea research, I had lead own projects for about 8 years. After completing the projects, I joined Shiseido in 2017 to seek a next new frontier on dermatology with my expertise, especially enigma of solar lentigo (dark spot) formation.
