Dr Alessandro GRITTI

Facial Plastic Surgeon
Italy

In the early years of the Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at the University of Parma (Italy), Dr. Gritti began focusing on the studies and treatments of vascular anomalies, known as ANGIOMAS.

Through ongoing collaboration with colleagues from the Interventional Neuroradiology Departement  and Pediatric Surgery Unit in Parma, he deepened his expertise in this field.

Dr Gritti attended Vascular Anomalies Centers worldwide, including the Vascular Anomalies Center at Children's Hospital, Boston Harvard University and the Consultation des Angiomes at Hopital Lariboisiere in Paris.

He obtained his Master's Degree in Medicine and Surgery in 2006 and completed his residency  in Maxillofacial Surgery (headed by Professor Enrico Sesenna) cum laude in 2012 at the University of Parma.

Throughout his residency, he worked in 2008 and 2012 for several months at the Maxillofacial Surgery department in Brescia (headed by Dr. Alessandro Rossi). In 2011, he attended the Cervico Plastic department at Children's Hospital, Boston (MA), following the work of Professor John B. Mulliken. In 2012, he continued his studies at the Interventional Neuroradiology department of Hopital Lariboisiere in Paris, collaborating with Dr. Annuk Bisdorff.

Collaborations with these international centers, particularly the experience at Ospedale Maggiore in Parma, alongside Dr. Giuseppe Cerasoli (Pediatric Surgery, Parma), and Dr. Roberto Menozzi (Interventional Neuroradiology, Parma), allowed Dr. Gritti to gain expertise in treating vascular anomalies using highly innovative, minimally invasive, and increasingly effective techniques for the patient.

As a Maxillo Facial surgeon his activity and interest concerns also face volume restoration and anatomical and functional anomalies correction with low invasive treatments.
