Benjamin Ascher, MD, is a board-certified Plastic Surgeon, member of the French, American, and International Societies of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (SOFCPRE, SOFCEP, ASPS, ISAPS).
Past Chief of Clinique at Assistant des Hôpitaux de Paris and Chairman & Head of the "Clinique of Aesthetic Surgery IENA" in Paris – France.
He is the founder and Scientific Director of the IMCAS Congresses, the world leader in dermatology and plastic surgery conferences (Paris, Bangkok, Bali, Cancun, Cartagena, Mumbai, Goa, Shanghai).
Dr Ascher also serves as Editor of IMCAS Academy, the e-learning platform that gathers more than 5,000 videos, live webinars, scientific articles, and IMCAS Alert the forum dedicated to difficult clinical cases and complications.
He is a Section Editor of the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Journal and Member of the Editorial Board for Journal of Cosmetic and Laser Therapy, as well as an author of 200 original articles and books published in referenced journals, and peer-reviewed articles.

The shape and contour of the chin and neck play an important role in facial esthetics. As such, excess fat within the submental area (double chin) can negatively affect facial esthetics and body image. Common treatments for submental contouring include invasive procedures such as surgical rejuvenation and targeted liposuction. Energy devices (lasers, radiofrequency, and ultrasound) may be used to improve submental skin laxity while cryolipolysis was recently cleared in the United States for use in the submental area. However, ATX-101 (deoxycholic acid injection) is the only injectable drug approved in the United States and Canada for reduction of submental fat. read more
