Dr. Effron has been developing protocols and combination therapies for actinic keratosis, sensitive skin disorders, psoriasis, eczema and acne, as well as at-home protocols for daily facial routines using alpha-, beta-, and poly-hydroxy acids. 

Dr. Effron has been in private practice performing medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology as Cosmetic Dermatology of Orange County with offices in Anaheim Hills and Huntington Beach, California since 1980.

Dr. Effron is a lecturer on combination Laser and Alpha Hydroxy Acid technology.  Her latest lectures include the Polish Dermatology Congress in March 2013, where she lectured on a new Alpha Hydroxy molecule and previously, the September 2011 Malaysia Congress of Dermatology, where she was the keynote speaker on Alpha Hydroxy Acids, as well as Grand Rounds for the Singapore Skin Institute.  As a result of these lectures, Dr. Effron was published in Vogue Magazine of Asia, WB Lifestyle and Asian Woman Magazine.

Previously, Dr. Effron lectured and sat on panels for dermatologic events in Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Hong Kong, Iceland, Portugal, Hawaii, Miami and New York. 

Dr. Effron has performed clinical research of multiple medications over her years in practice, most notably being the Stage 3 and 4 studies for Lamisil prior to the FDA approval of the drug.  More recently, Dr. Effron has also performed clinical research protocols for acne, psoriasis and rosacea and cosmetic research protocols with cutting edge molecules for topical application.
