Dr. Ioan Constantin POP (Resident)

I am a fifth-year Plastic Surgery resident at the Oncology Institute in Cluj, Romania, where my primary focus is breast surgery, particularly oncologic and reconstructive procedures. I am part of a multidisciplinary team that performs the highest number of breast reconstructions in the country. In parallel, I also work in the private sector at Humanitas Hospital, where I perform a variety of aesthetic procedures, including minimally invasive treatments (such as injectables, lasers, and Dermapen), as well as aesthetic surgeries like breast augmentation, surgical facelift, blepharoplasty, and rhinoplasty.

I have recently started my PhD studies, focusing on breast reconstruction, and I am currently conducting several research projects that have already shown promising results. Additionally, I am contributing to a book chapter titled Hybrid Breast Reconstruction: Prepectoral Implant Combined with Lipofilling, which is currently in development.
I have published one study in a Q1 journal and have two more manuscripts currently under review in high-impact (Q1) journals.
