Dr. Ivona Percec completed her undergraduate education at Princeton University and then attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine where she received her M.D. and Ph.D. in Genetics from the Medical Scientist Training Program. Dr. Percec subsequently obtained her residency training in Plastic Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. She is currently in her third year on faculty as Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania, Division of Plastic Surgery. As a surgeon scientist, Dr. Percec divides her time between a busy aesthetic and antiaging surgical practice and a basic science research laboratory focused on understanding the epigenetics of aging in subcutaneous fat. Dr. Percec's academic goals are to advance the both the science and technical aspects of antiaging interventions of the soft tissues of the face and body.
