Dr Kenneth Thean, MBBS (Singapore ‘81), FRCS (Glasgow ’86), FRCS (Edinburgh ’86)

Dr Kenneth Thean has over 38 years’ experience in Healthcare. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and a Surgical Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. He is currently the Medical Director of Ensoul Medical Clinic in Singapore, one of the clinics of the Ensoul Group. He is also the Medical Advisor for the Pure Laser Clinic Group and the Puro Laser Clinics in Jakarta and Surabaya, Indonesia. Dr Thean’s clinics focus on using customized combinations of multiple lasers and other energy devices to provide anti-aging skin rejuvenation treatments. He is also the Medical Director of Ensoul Body Medical Clinic, a dedicated clinic that performs non invasive body sculpting treatments using a combination of hyperthermic laser fat reduction devices, cyrolipolysis, microwave, body radiofrequency, shockwave and high intensity focused ultrasound devices. Dr Thean’s academic interests lies in Medical Lasers and other Aesthetic Energy Based Devices to treat the skin and body, and he is a regional and an international speaker in this field.

Prior to this, he was the Medical Director of The Aesthetics Medical Clinic and The Aesthetics Clinic. Dr Thean was previously a founder aesthetic physicians of a regional chain of aesthetic clinics. He was the first Group Chief Medical Officer for this laser clinic chain and was responsible to teach and train the doctors and staff for the clinics in Singapore, Vietnam and Indonesia. He also previously chaired their Medical Advisory Committee.

Dr Thean has held senior positions in Singapore’s Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Gleneagles Hospital, Parkway Hospitals, Parkway Group Healthcare, Medirad, Parkway Shenton’s General Practice and Executive Health Screening Centers. He had been a member of the Medical Advisory Board of both Mount Elizabeth Hospital and Gleneagles Hospital. He was the founder Administrator, and helped establish Singapore’s National Skin Centre in 1988.
