Lorenzo Garagnani is a highly experienced Consultant Hand and Wrist Surgeon (both adult and paediatric) & Aesthetic Physician. 

Lorenzo is the joint Lead of the multidisciplinary (OrthoPlastic) Hand Unit at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust in London, and Honorary Reader (Associate Professor equivalent) at the Faculty of Life Sciences and Medicine of King's College London (KCL) university. He is also Medical Director of the SE1 Medical Aesthetics clinic in London.

Lorenzo is the current President of the Italian Medical Society of Great Britain (IMSoGB), Director of the International Bone Research Association (IBRA)'s London Upper Limb Training Centre & Fellowship, and past-President and founding member of the Pediatric Hand International Society of Surgeons (PHISOS). He serves on the Examination Committee of the Federation of European Societies for Surgery of the Hand (FESSH) and as examiner for the Diploma of the European Board of Hand Surgery (EBHS). He also sits on the International Traveling Fellows Committee of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH).

Lorenzo is Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in the UK and Member of several scientific societies, including the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine (AAAM), the British College of Aesthethic Medicine (BCAM) and the British Society for Surgery of the Hand (BSSH).

He is author of numerous scientific publications (articles & book chapters) and regular faculty at international conferences and courses. He is also an experienced trainer, anatomist and teacher on advanced anatomy dissection courses.

Lorenzo is internationally recognised for his work and research on reduction of morbidity and increased safety of hand & wrist treatments, and has developed anatomically based techniques for hand rejuvenation injections.

He holds multiple postgraduate Specialist Qualifications and Diplomas (Trauma and Orthopaedics, Hand Surgery, Aesthetic and Wellness Medicine).

In 2020, Lorenzo was awarded the Knighthood of the Order of the Star of Italy (OSI) for his international achievements, hand & wrist surgery career and volunteering during the Covid19 pandemic.
