Biography
Dr. Luiz Carlos Carvalho is a plastic surgeon based in São Paulo, Brazil, CEO of Devine Clinic, international speaker and instructor. His clinical and academic practice focuses on breast surgery, advanced body contouring, high-definition liposuction, and the integration of ultrasonography into plastic surgery.
He specialized in Plastic Surgery at the Prof. Dr. Oswaldo de Castro Plastic Surgery Service and completed advanced training in Breast Surgery at Hospital Pérola Byington, as well as a postgraduate degree in Laser and Cosmiatry at Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein.
With more than 14 years of experience in ultrasonography, Dr. Carvalho has dedicated an important part of his career to integrating real-time imaging with surgical anatomy, planning, intraoperative guidance, and postoperative assessment.
He developed EchoSculpt, a methodology specifically designed for plastic surgeons that translates ultrasonography into the anatomical and procedural language of the specialty. Its core concept is to make anatomy visible in real time, integrating imaging, clinical reasoning, and surgical technique to enhance precision and safety.
Dr. Carvalho is a member of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery (SBCP), the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), and BAPS – Associação Brasileira de Cirurgia Plástica Estética (Brazilian Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery), where he serves as Coordinator of the Body Contouring Surgery Division.
An international educator, he has served as an instructor at UGRAFT, Hands on Ribs, 360 Lipo Course – Barcelona, and LipoVision.
He is also the founder of LipoExpert, an educational program dedicated to training plastic surgeons in advanced high-definition liposuction and body contouring, integrating anatomy, ultrasonography, technology, and patient safety.
His work and teaching are centered on the evolution of plastic surgery toward an increasingly anatomy-driven, image-guided, and safety-oriented approach.
