Nicolas Kluger (born 1978), MD, PhD, is a French dermatologist. He is currently a senior dermatologist in the department of dermatology of the Helsinki University Hospital, Finland. He is also in charge of the "tattoo" consultation, monthly consultation at Bichat- Claude Bernard Hospital, in Paris.
He graduated his medical studies at the Necker - Enfants Malades faculty in Paris in 2002 and performed his residency in dermatology and venereology in Montpellier and Nîmes University hospitals from 2002 to 2008. After specialization, he was an assistant in dermatology in the department of dermatology in Saint-Eloi Hopital, Montpellier university hospital (Chairman Pr Bernard Guillot). His main fields of interest in dermatology includes healths issues related to body-art (tattooing, piercing...), internal medicine and skin disease and social-cultural aspects of skin.
He has written currently over 400 articles in indexed journals and several chapters in textbooks. Regarding tattoos and body art issues, he has currently over 100 articles related to that topic as well as lectures, communications and posters in international and national congresses.
He is the president of the French Society of Human Sciences applied to the skin (SFSHP) and a member of the French Society of Dermatology, and the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology.
