Prof Kei NEGISHI

Biography

Associate professor. Chief of aesthetic dermatology division, Institute of Geriatrics, Tokyo Women’s Medical University.Dr. Kei Negishi graduated from Tokyo Women’s Medical University(TWMU). After graduation, she worked at the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery of the Daini Hospital of TWMU. She specialized in dermatologic, aesthetic and laser surgery. She received her PhD.in Dermatology from Fujita Health University. Now, she is the chief of aesthetic dermatology division at the Aoyama Institute of Women’s Medicine of the TWMU and council member of Japanese Society for Laser Surgery and Medicine. She has done pioneering work collecting data and developing successful protocols for treating Asian skin with IPLs, other non-ablative and ablative devices. A specialist in treating melasma and other pigmentary problems on Asian skin and she has presented her findings at many of the world’s leading forums including ASLMS, ISDS and IMCAS, etc. She is a guest reviewer of local and international journals and is invited to speak at many scientific meetings. Most recently, Dr. Negishi has collaborated with a major laser manufacturer to develop an IPL and picosecond laser specifically for Asian skin.
