Prof Li LI

Li LI, MD, PhD, is a Professor and Vice-Director of the department of Dermatolo-venereology of West China Hospital in Chengdu (China). Born on July 18th, 1958, she graduated in Dermatology in 1990 at West China University of Medical Sciences, Sichuan. In 2000 she studied at the University of Franche-Comté (France) under the direction of Professor P. Humbert and in 2005 was awarded a PhD in Dermato-cosmetology by the University of Franche-Comté. In 2002 she founded the Laboratory of Cutaneous Biology & Engineering and Laboratory of Cosmetic Safety and Efficacy Evaluation at West China Hospital of Chengdu, which has accreditation from the Ministry of Health of the People’s Republic of China for the evaluation of safety and efficacy of cosmetic products in vivo and in vitro. Her research areas include cutaneous biology, skin aging, acne, hairloss, pigmentation, etc. She is vice-director of the Dermato-cosmetology group and of the Esthetics and Cosmetology group of the Chinese medical association, a member of several associations of dermato-cosmetology, and also an editor of the Chinese Journal of Esthetics and Cosmetology and the Chinese Journal of Esthetic Medicine.
