Sunscreens in acne therapy

Objectives: Sunscreens in the treatment of acne are for us and during many years a fundamental part of our treatment

Introduction: We use them during the day starting at 8:00 am with two or three layers in a quick massage to fix them in the place we want and reapplied at 12:00 pm and 4pm; then applying makeup if desidered.

Materials / method: We understand that with the products we apply at night, specific products for acne the thin skin needs hydration that is brought by the sunscreen.

Results: With this method that we have developed in an experience of more than 30 years this is a way to bigguer sucess with your patients

Acne treatment in clinical dermatology and aesthetic dermatology

Objectives: Highlighting the importance of discussing Acne treatment in clinical and aesthetic dermatology.
Discussing management plans for Acne treatment for best outcomes (Where and when to manage)
Reviewing different available options for management of Acne and Acne scars

Introduction: Acne vulgaris is the most common skin disease that can lead to disfigurement and psychological distress. Treatments of acne include proper skin care, topical medications, oral medications and procedural therapies

Materials / method: Review of the literature using the key words: Acne treatment, Acne scars, where Acne patients seek medical advice?

Results: Topical agents are the first-line treatment for mild-to-moderate acne and can be used as combination therapy for more severe acne. Systemic therapies are usually prescribed for the initial treatment of moderate-to-severe acne as well as for acne that is refractory to topical therapies Combined treatment of scars offer the best results with the highest safety profile and maximum efficacy. Early therapeutic intervention is the clue for the best outcome

Conclusion: Acne and Acne Scar management is a crucial topic in dermatology with new updates every day. Proper assessment including patients' considerations, prophylactic measures and earliest combined interventions give the best possible outcome
