Objectives: The Small Penis Syndrome (SPS), also known as penile dysmorphic disorder or penile
insecurity, refers to a psychological phenomenon where individuals experience anxiety, shame, or distress related to the size of their penis
Introduction: One of the myths perpetuated by society is the belief that penis size is directly correlated with masculinity, sexual prowess, and self-worth. In reality, penis size varies widely among individuals and does not define a person's worth or abilities. Studies have shown that the vast majority of men fall within the average range of penis size, highlighting the importance of dispelling myths that equate size with sexual performance or satisfaction.
Materials / method: In my experience in male intimal wellness, I can address the SPS with sex coaching and offer the patients aesthetic medical treatment for this problem. The options for the patients that realize that their own penis is totally normal in size and length but still insecure, the alternatives go from the PRP to Penile boTox. And in other hand the patients that need one boost in their self confidence I can offer the Penis filler with HA or PLLA.
Results: Encouraging open discussions about body image, sexuality, and self-acceptance with the ethic intimal treatement can help individuals struggling with SPS feel less isolated and more empowered to seek support and resources for coping with their concerns.
Conclusion: The Small Penis Syndrome in contemporary society is a complex issue influenced by societal pressures, media portrayals, and individual perceptions of masculinity and body image. By promoting awareness, debunking myths, and providing medical treatments for individuals struggling with SPS, we can work towards creating a culture that values diversity, self- acceptance, and positive body image.
