Objectives: Improving results after aesthetic upper blepharoplasty
Introduction: Asian is the most commonly used term referring to people in or from Asia. It is also the world’s most populous continent, with roughly 60 percent of the total population. Therefore this term varies from country to country. Asians from East, South, North, Central Asia are differ from each other. Kazakhstan is the ninth largest country in the world, located mainly in Central Asia. The modern Kazakh people have clearly defined mixed features, these components are clearly defined by Caucasian and Mongoloid. Nowadays, the European component of modern Kazakhs is made up up to 30%.
Materials / method: Most of the published articles on the "Asian eyelids" describe the methods and techniques for performing Asian blepharoplasty for Koreans, Japanese, Chinese origin or East Asians, where their unique characteristics are indicated and most often where Mongoloid appearance are quite expressed.
This specificity requires a special relationship of choice and method of performing aesthetic surgery on the upper eyelid in Asians from Central Asia.
Results: We will review the short history of Central Asia, explain the anatomy of the Eurasian eyelids, surgical pearls, pitfalls, and personal observations.
Conclusion: Knowledge of the anatomical features of Eurasian eyelids improve the aesthetic postoperative result and prevent complications in patients from Central Asia.
In the context of globalization and open borders around the world races are now often mixed, where one of the parents is Asian, the other is European. Mestizo children inherit to varying degrees both Asian and the European ancestry. The features of operating for the Central Asian eyelids are quite acceptable for using them as well.
