Objectives: In the era of cosmetic dermatology patients are asking for different indications like even tone, pore reduction, acne scar, facial contouring but majority of them are interested in even tone and poreless face. Though many modalities are available only few of them works in reducing pores.
Introduction: Use of different modalities like chemicals, injectable, microneedle and physical like lasers in reducing facial pore size. In our study we used chemical like 35% TCA PEEL, injectable like botulinum toxin, radiofrequency microneedling and lastly q switch laser.
Materials / method: In a cross sectional study we divide 120 patients into four groups, Informed consent were taken. We use four modalities 35% TCA peel, normal strength botulinum toxin diluted to 1/6, Radiofrequency microneedling with particular set of parameters and three passes and lastly q switched laser in fixed parameters. Total of 3 session were done month apart. Photoprotection was advised to avoid pih.
Results: We included three assessment methods digital imaging, clinical and patient satisfaction. Out of four group, cases treated with radiofrequency microneedling have maximum results clinically and photographically followed by cases treated with q switch laser. Cases treated with 35%TCA peel have maximum complications like pih & mild scarring. Group treated with botox have least results.
Conclusion: In todays world good skin is right of every person. Although all the modalities shows promising results, a combination treatment can improvise results outcome and patient satisfaction. Advising proper skin care routine will patient satisfaction and decrease complications.
